 Clay Stacker

Clay Stacker

Clay Stacker has been in the construction industry since 1996. He has lived in the Middle Tennessee area for his entire life and earned a Bachelor's Degree at the University of Tennessee at Martin. Growing up the son of an architect, he had the opportunity to hear and see things from the design perspective of building, which gives him a unique perspective on the industry.

Clay has worked hard to make his priorities for business show throughout every aspect of SouthLand's work. He realized early on that strong, positive relationships between clients, subcontractors, and employees are crucial to a successful build. Under his leadership the company continues to grow and fulfill his favorite part of the job: watching customers' building dreams become reality.

When not working, Clay enjoys time with his wife, Cheryl, their two sons, and their dog Charlie. Time with the boys often involves sports, golf, and time on the lake.

Why SouthLand?
"The relationship-oriented atmosphere. SouthLand focuses on developing positive relationships with its customers, subcontractors, and employees. We actually get to work with people we like.”

Brandon Porter

Vice-President, Client Services

After growing up around his father's small residential construction business in North East Tennessee, Brandon earned a degree in Civil Engineering from The Virginia Military Institute. While home from VMI for the summer of 1995 and then again in 1996, Brandon started his commercial construction career with a small builder back in Kingsport. He continued his education by completing his Master's Degree in Construction Engineering and Project Management at The University of Texas in 1997. He immediately started working on the Project Management side of things and has been a part of projects ranging from an almost 1 million SF office campus for Fed Ex in Memphis to an 11-story Marriott full-service luxury hotel in downtown Nashville. In addition to being on the company's ethics committee, at SouthLand, Brandon uses his “understanding of the construction process” to serve our clients well by staying connected with them. His desire to build relationships with our customers allows him to clearly communicate their needs to our preconstruction and construction teams. He loves facilitating the SouthLand process that allows our clients to realize their goals and dreams.

Away from the office, Brandon spends as much time as possible with his elementary-school sweetheart, who also happens to be his wife, and with his amazing 5 children. He enjoys coaching all of his kids, playing any athletic game, doing anything outdoors, and serving in his church and in the community.
